Montana: Special Session Called

Governor Steve Bullock (D) has called the legislature into special session, starting November 14, to consider closing the state’s projected $227 million spending gap. Governor Bullock’s proposal includes $76.6 million in general fund cuts, temporary tax increases to handle the state’s fire season, and the suspension of state subsidies to the employee health care and judge’s retirement plans.
